General ramblings 2006

I am currently writing a paper on the DIKW-hierarchy of information for my Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems. After that I’ll start studying under Work Informatics, and live without any money for another couple of years ;)

In addition to my university studies, I’m trying to kick-start my one-man business; Web design, database systems, computer consultancy and networking solutions for the Post-Dot-com-bubble era (yes, it’s a word).

Besides work, my life comprises a multitude of hobbies, in which I immerse myself more or less irregularly. I like to meditate, by myself and at a local Diamond Way Buddhist center. I read a lot - mostly philosophy and sci-fi. Really playing the guitar is something I couldn’t do if my life depended on it, but I enjoy trying ;) Spanning over this whole gamut of activities is a nearly continuous soundtrack of different styles of music.

It sounds like I keep busy, but in reality I spend more time between my hobbies than on them.
